You've seen them and you probably have a few of them around - old treasured photos that just are not what they use to be. And now, in the ditigal age, something can finally be done about them to not only fix them, but protect them forever and allow you to reprint them again and again whenever you wish.
Don't be fooled by the gimmicks that are out there. Sure, you can find someone promising to restore your photos for $10. But what you will get is the same photo with a few automated filters applied to just sharpen the image and create more contrast - in all, maybe 5 minutes of work put into it without taking care of any of the damage that was done over time. And yes, you can find places that will offer to do a "major restoration" for $50. But again, they have automated treatments they apply that in the end will make the photo look better, but not really looked at by the human eye and definately not back to making the photo look like it was just taken yesterday.
Rapture Media specializes in really digging in and restoring a photo all the way down to the pixel level - every scratch, every dust spec, every discolorization, etc. When we are done with it, it will be a whole new photo ready to display proudly with digital copies of the file for as many reprints as you may ever need. Yes, it may cost a bit more and take a bit longer. But you will know that your image is being given the personal hands-on treatment that it deserves and not just some pre-programmed filter process.
Obviously, there are many ways a photo can be handled and different levels of restoration. We are in the process of developing a website that will be able to handle all of the options with an organized price structure and meathods for us to get the photos from you and back to you. In the meantime, if you have a project that you would like for us to work on, feel free to contact us at info@rapturemediasf.com to see what we can do for you. Take a look at the examples below to get an idea of what we can do.

Some photos just do not age well. Weather it be by faulty chemical processes at the time of making, age with wear and tear or the finish just wears off and dust particals invade the picture. These types of restorations can become very time consuming. They require working on the picture down to the pixel level - sometimes even having to pull every element of the photo out for seperate recolorization. But, some pictures are worth every minute. These are the types of photos that we specialize in working with. They will not be cheap, but they will be priceless.

Rapture Media does not subscribe to the practice of totally recreating a photo by putting someone in a different background, editing someone out, changing their clothes, etc. Sure, we could do that and we do have the talent to do so. But we feel that a photo is what it was meant to be. However, we also understand that sometimes there is just something about a photo that needs changing. In such cases, we can recreate some elements of a photo - where possible.

Looking at redoing an entire photo album of the family history? We've got an idea for you. Most old photos were not created in the standard 4x6 prints that we use today. Why not use this to your advantange? Instead of hand-writing all of the names and dates into the photo album, or even on the photo itself, why not resize the photo into the standard 4x6 size and use the extra space to actually put the information in the photo - no illegible handwriting, no possible risk to impressing on the photo and it will all fit into standard photo albums available today. This may not be a cheap option when you are dealing with a lot of photos, and it does require a lot of one-on-one contact to make sure the information is correct, but it will definately make an impresive looking album.
